We really cannot sit by and let this become a crisis, over the next few years.   As federal employees and retirees, who can help to solve this issue, we need to pressure Congress to act.

This would also be a great membership recruiting tool, as FERS employees have so much of their retirement benefit based upon their Social Security Benefit.  We can have weekend recruitment sessions, in our regions, showing federal employees how to calculate their Social Security Benefit, discuss the looming crises respecting the underfunding of the Social Security Trust Fund, and what NARFE (Chapter 073, San Bernardino), proposes to address this crisis, in terms of legislation.    

It would be great to have the chapters of the California Federation endorse this, as well as chapters in all 50 states.
